TalentUp Africa (TUA) has partnered with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to offer free certification programs to aspiring tech professionals. This exclusive four-month, part-time training program, located in Lagos, Nigeria, combines digital, in-person, and virtual instructor-led courses. All training and certification exam vouchers are provided at no cost.

Program Details
- Duration: Early March through June 2024
- Location: Lagos, Nigeria
- Format: Part-time digital, virtual instructor-led, and in-person classroom courses
- Schedule: Approximately 100 hours of instructor-led training over four months, including seven full Saturdays of in-person AWS certification training.
- Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, 3+ years industry experience, active AWS Cloud Practitioner Foundational Certification by February 8th, 2024, Nigerian citizenship, access to required hardware and data, ability to attend all classes.
How it Works
- Candidates must have the AWS Foundational Cloud Practitioner certificate by February 8th, 2024.
- After two months, attendees will take the AWS Associate Solutions Architect certification.
- Successful candidates can progress to either the Associate Developer or Associate Data Engineer Certification Track.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 3+ years industry experience, preferably in banking, finance, mining, construction, or public sector.
- Active and valid AWS Cloud Practitioner Foundational Certification by February 8th, 2024.
- Nigerian citizenship.
- Ability to attend all required courses in-person and virtually.
- Access to required hardware and data.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science is a plus.
- Additional AWS certifications, Terraform, Python, and/or GitHub experience preferred but not required.
