Policy Innovation Centre Seeks UX Designer

Position: User Experience (UX) Designer Employment Type: Full Time Qualifications: MBA/MSc/MA Experience: 3 – 5 years Location: Abuja Industry: ICT / Computer

Role Responsibilities

  • Assist in user-related research activities, including designing methodologies, writing protocols, and conducting qualitative/quantitative data-gathering tasks.
  • Utilize behavioral science and user research methods to diagnose behaviors related to the demand, adoption, and usage of products, programs, and policies.
  • Employ evidence-based approaches to define problems, analyze user data, and derive insights for effective problem-solving.
  • Develop personas based on user research and data.
  • Utilize creative problem-solving techniques to facilitate co-creation of potential solutions.
  • Design prototypes, conduct concept and usability testing, and collect feedback.
  • Create wireframes and prototypes aligned with customer needs.
  • Collaborate with the innovation team to synthesize insights into knowledge products, such as learning briefs, policy briefs, and peer-reviewed publications.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social and behavioral sciences, marketing, advertising, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in user experience research within the industry or a significant role in an innovation team.
  • Demonstrated experience as a UX Designer, UI Designer, or in a similar role.
  • Strong interest in program and policy innovation.
  • Proficiency in project management and research (qualitative and quantitative).
  • Familiarity with interaction design and information architecture.
  • Proficient in analytical and design software, including Notion, Canvas, Miro, and expertise in designing journey maps.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to develop knowledge products.
