Policy Innovation Centre Seeks UX Designer
Position: User Experience (UX) Designer Employment Type: Full Time Qualifications: MBA/MSc/MA Experience: 3 – 5 years Location: Abuja Industry: ICT / Computer
Role Responsibilities
- Assist in user-related research activities, including designing methodologies, writing protocols, and conducting qualitative/quantitative data-gathering tasks.
- Utilize behavioral science and user research methods to diagnose behaviors related to the demand, adoption, and usage of products, programs, and policies.
- Employ evidence-based approaches to define problems, analyze user data, and derive insights for effective problem-solving.
- Develop personas based on user research and data.
- Utilize creative problem-solving techniques to facilitate co-creation of potential solutions.
- Design prototypes, conduct concept and usability testing, and collect feedback.
- Create wireframes and prototypes aligned with customer needs.
- Collaborate with the innovation team to synthesize insights into knowledge products, such as learning briefs, policy briefs, and peer-reviewed publications.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Master’s degree in social and behavioral sciences, marketing, advertising, or a related field.
- Prior experience in user experience research within the industry or a significant role in an innovation team.
- Demonstrated experience as a UX Designer, UI Designer, or in a similar role.
- Strong interest in program and policy innovation.
- Proficiency in project management and research (qualitative and quantitative).
- Familiarity with interaction design and information architecture.
- Proficient in analytical and design software, including Notion, Canvas, Miro, and expertise in designing journey maps.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to develop knowledge products.
